We’re not dolphins, we have pubic hair

Pubic hair styles are about what you and your partner feel comfortable with, not just about following a trend or a fad

Us humans are a hairy bunch, aren’t we?

Hair grows everywhere on us.

On our heads, on our faces, on our fronts, on our backs, the list goes on. Yup, it grows on pretty much every part of the body you can think of, including in between our legs.

If porn has taught us all one thing it’s that having pubic hair isn’t sexy; being bald ‘down there’ is sexy.

But are we really sure about that?

No, we’re not.

If you asked around, I’m sure you would find some people who do think that being hairless around your pubic region is hot. But equally, I’m sure you would find plenty of people who think it isn’t. It’s all a matter of taste really.

Indeed, when it comes to pubic hair preferences, sexy is in the eye of the beholder. It really depends upon what you AND your partner feel comfortable with and are turned on by.

As there’s no blueprint for what’s hot and what’s not, it’s probably worth experimenting with different styles too, just as you might with the hair which grows on your head.

Should I get rid of it all? If so, make sure you know your way around a razor.

Should I keep it and let it grow?

Should I creative and style it like the Eiffel Tower?

Don’t feel bad about thinking and talking about public hairstyles – we all do it. And we do it even more so when we’re thinking about having sex – especially when it might be for the first time with a new partner.

But how can we second-guess what that potential partner might find sexy?!

Well, we can’t. And we shouldn’t try to either.

Perhaps try asking them what the like instead? But maybe wait until you’ve developed a level of intimacy with one another first though, rather than hitting them with such a question on the first date, or when you first time you meet – it might come across as a little sexually aggressive if you do that, you see.

Cool? Cool.
