10 affirmations for achieving a positive mindset
Boost your mood and self-esteem by trying out these ten positive affirmations
It may make you cringe, but repeating positive affirmations to yourself can benefit to your mind, and even your life! If you’re struggling with self-esteem and motivation, this might be just the trick you need.
The positive affirmations
1. I am loving and lovable.
2. I radiate beauty, charm, and grace.
3. I accept the shape of my body and I find it beautiful and appealing.
4. I am filled with love, hope and confidence.
5. My life is full of magic.
6. I deserve inner peace.
7. I am worthy of happiness and success.
8. May my life be of benefit to all beings.
9. My ability to conquer my challenges is limitless and my potential to succeed is infinite.
10. I am braver than I believe, stronger than I seem, smarter than I think, and loved more than I know.
How to use them
The key to using affirmations effectively is by committing to them. You have to teach yourself to believe the positivity. Try to form a new morning routine where you stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself how great you are. If this sounds a little cheesy for you, then you can always repeat them in your head or try writing them out in a diary. The important thing is that repetition will help get them stuck in your head until you truly believe them.
You don’t have to stick to this list either. Why not try coming up with your own positive affirmations? Think about the things you love about yourself, or maybe even ask a friend or family member what they love about you to help get you started. Write these down in simple statements that you can repeat to yourself each day. It might feel awkward and embarrassing at first, but it’ll get easier, and you’ll get more confident the more you do it!
How will they benefit me?
These affirmations can help remind you of your self-worth, boost your self-esteem, and reduce stress. All in all, they can benefit you by making your mind a more positive place to be. They will adapt your outlook so that you believe you are capable and deserve love. There’s only one you – you’ve got one life, and you deserve to enjoy it.
What if I need more support?
These positive affirmations aren’t designed to solve every problem out there. While they may be useful in giving you that self-confidence boost you need, you might also feel like you need more support. If you’re worried about how you’re feeling, if you’re feeling low, anxious, or want to talk to someone, there are places you can go for help and support.
You don’t have to manage it alone. It can really help to talk about how you’re feeling, particularly with specially trained professionals, and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
